Top Ten Favorite Films of The Decade

I wasn’t going to do this, but I got off work early today and I’ve been seeing these Top Ten lists on the internet, and I just couldn’t resist!   I will admit, I threw this list together fairly quickly, but I did put a lot of thought into it, and I would say it’s pretty accurate.   These are the films from the past decade that still capture my heart.   Films that I still have an emotional response to.   Films that have stood the test of the last ten years. 10. The Last Black Man in San Francisco   Spoiler alert: This movie is making my 10 Ten List of 2019.   It’s probably taking the top spot unless I see something better between now and the Oscars.   It’s fantastic!   It’s subtle, but flamboyant at the same time.   I want to say more about it, but I will save it for my Top Ten list. 9. Bridesmaids   A forever classic.   Probably the funniest movie of the decade!   Impossibly quotable, insta...

Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies Ranked from Least to Most Favorite

In honor of Endgame coming out soon, I was requested by my friend to write this blog.   Making this list made me realize that the number one factor that influences how much I like a Marvel movie is the superhero.   When you see this list, it’s obvious which Avengers are my favorite.   I also want you to keep in mind that I’ve seen most of these movies only once, and when they first came out.   And considering some of these movies are a decade old, much of this list is based on my vague memory of them. There might be spoilers for those who haven’t seen the movies. The Incredible Hulk   I think a lot of people forget this movie exists.   It’s probably better that way.   I love me some Eddie Norton, but this movie was not good.   It was better than the Ang Lee Hulk, but still pretty bad.   As much as I love Ed Norton, I think Mark Ruffalo is a better Hulk. Ant-Man and the Wasp   I love Paul Rudd! ...

Top Ten Favorite Films of 2018

Happy Oscar Day!  So I thought 2018 was a pretty decent year for movies.  Admittedly, I didn't get out to the theaters as much as I would have liked.  I missed a lot of the big hits in theaters like Creed II, Solo, and Mission Impossible.  But there is one movie that I did see in theaters, and I am very proud that I did.  It didn't make my top ten, but it did make an impact on me for being the first all Asian cast movie in 25 years.  Of course I'm talking about Crazy Rich Asians!  The movie meant a lot to me personally and I'm so pleased the film was such a huge hit!  Now, on to the list! 10. Deadpool 2 I loved the first Deadpool and I am so happy that the sequel is just a good as the first!  Did you guys see the Celine Dion music video?  Oh my god, that was brilliant!!  I love how the Deadpool movies  completely has its head up its own ass and doesn't even apologize for it.  It walks such a fine line between comedy...

Top Ten Least Favorite Films of 2018

Here we go! 10. Lean on Pete Let me make one thing clear.  Lean on Pete is not a bad film.  It in fact is a good film.  A very good film, actually.  I just didn't enjoy it.  At all.  It was incredibly depressing, and I have zero desire to ever watch it again nor ever think about it again.  In my opinion, it is 100% the opposite of a movie that I would like.  It's about a young boy who takes a job helping an old, washed up horse trainer.  The boy becomes attached to one of the horses, Pete, and when he learns that Pete is up for slaughter, he runs away with Pete, trying to save the horse from its fate.  Along the journey the boy becomes orphaned and basically homeless.  Things just get worse and worse from there.  Not at all an enjoyable film watching experience. 9. Disobedience I feel like producers made this movie just so the Rachels could make out.  The film was very uninteresting.  Rachel Weisz plays a woma...
